LCBO Description: "Rich and complex with notions of plum pudding, dark cherry, chocolate cake and woodsmoke. Vibrant cherry and plum notes on the smooth, structured palate."  LCBO Tasting Note: "Here's a rich, complex Merlot from Ontario's ideally suited 2010 vintage -- and at a fantastic price. Opens to attractive notions of plum pudding, dark cherry, cola, chocolate cake and woodsmoke. There's a vibrancy of acidity on the palate, bringing elevated notes of tangy red cherry and plum backed by smoky and chocolaty accents. LCBO Tasting Note: "Beautifully inviting Pinot Gris with apricot, orange zest, cantaloupe and Asian pear with just a touch of honey and a sprinkle of cinnamon spice. These notions replay nicely on the palate, with good roundness and texture leading to a warm finish. Pair with spicy noodle dishes, or a mandarin orange salad with roasted almonds. LCBO Tasting Note: "A blend of mostly Teroldego with Syrah in support (two grapes recently confirmed to be siblings). The wine features aromas of black cherry, coffee bean, chocolate, blackberry and woodsmoke. Dry with excellent replays supported by plush tannins and a crisp acid frame. Drink it tonight with rare steaks, or cellar it for 3-5 years. (VINTAGES panel, May 2012)"

LCBO Tasting Note: "This wine is made with Tempranillo rounded out by Cabernet Sauvignon. Deep garnet in the glass with alluring plum, cherry, cassis and smoky oak aromas. The palate reflects the nose, with good balance of fruit, oak and supple tannins. Long, structured finish. Pair with Manchego cheese, or a Basque-style tortilla with mushrooms. LCBO Tasting Note: "From a tiny vineyard in the centre of the Canon-Fronsac appellation comes this well-priced wine. Look for aromas of raspberry, cherry, cranberry, dark chocolate and a hint of rock salt. Dry with good fruit tones supported by velvety tannins and just-right acid freshness. Cellarable for 3-4 years, or enjoy tonight with veal tenderloin. (VINTAGES panel, June 2012)"



WILLY GISSELBRECHT TRADITION SYLVANER 2011 VINTAGES 315028 | 750 mL bottle Price $10.25 - CLEARANCE SALE Was: $ 13.95, Now: $ 10.25, Save: $ 3.70 ... LCBO Description: "Sylvaner (known as Silvaner in the rest of the world, especially in Germany where the Franken region specializes in the variety) creates a full-bodied, fresh wine that, when the yields are properly managed, as they are here, can create terrific wines for an array of seafood. Try this one with oysters, pan-fried scallops or steamed clams and mussels."
